Our Emerging Historians program supports and empowers the next generation of heritage advocates, ensuring the resilience of Toronto’s heritage.

With the generous support of our partners, we are pleased to invite applications from Emerging Historians. These paid opportunities are project-based and involve the development of new content and take place before, during, and after the Tours season.

Tour Developers

In anticipation of Heritage Toronto’s 2023 tour season, we are pleased to offer several tour development contracts to Emerging Historians. Successful candidates will research and write a walking tour on a pre-determined theme or Toronto neighbourhood, which will be delivered during the 2023 tour season. All work will be conducted remotely. Candidates must demonstrate reliable access to the internet and must adhere to provided Heritage Toronto guidelines and standards for walking tours.
