“When we take the lead in telling stories and shaping public programming, we take the lead in making a big impact in our communities and contributing to the greater good of the city.”

 – Sundus Saba

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our priority has remained providing accessible public programming that makes every citizen feel connected and reflected in their city’s heritage.  To overcome the difficulties of social distancing and maintain public safety, we have worked closely with 40 emerging historians to produce new and engaging programming — from walking tours of the Junction Triangle and  St James Town, to digital explorations of Yonge Street’s iconic architecture and Toronto’s library system.

The Emerging Historians program is donor funded, and it is only through your support that we have continued to provide public programming over the past 19 months — thank you!

You have helped your neighbours stay connected during these isolating times, and empowered the next generation of heritage advocates. Please join us in continuing this important work.  Your gift supporting Emerging Historians like Sundus with paid work ensures we all stay connected through our shared stories.
