“Largely, I hope that whoever comes after me is telling an entirely different story from what I am telling in this project, but a story that’s just as important and close to their heart as mine.”
-Victoria Atteh
Victoria, Jodie and their fellow emerging historians are the future. With your support, we can help them to build their careers, to lay the groundwork to see themselves reflected in heritage programming across the city, and to tell the stories that elevate their communities. Our goal is to raise $30,000 by the end of the year, to support new emerging historian contracts and Equity Heritage Initiative programming in 2023. We look forward to doing this work, together.

The Equity Heritage Initiative will support emerging historians from equity-deserving communities and develop diverse and inclusive programs.
