Event Information

April marks an important time for sports in Toronto: baseball season begins while hockey and basketball playoffs kick off. Join Matthew Blackett and Wayne Reeves, co-editors of Spacing’s “Souvenirs of Toronto Sports,” to discuss Toronto’s ongoing love of sports, illustrated through rarely-seen artifacts held by the City of Toronto collections.

Presenters:

Matthew Blackett is the publisher, creative director and one of the founders of Spacing magazine. He is also a graphic artist, product designer, and deeply-committed advocate for Toronto.

Wayne Reeves is chief curator emeritus for Toronto History History Museums, where he oversaw the City’s artifact and fine art collections and developed major exhibitions for the City’s 10 historic site museums.
