Discover Toronto’s living Indigenous history in the midst of the downtown bustle. Join us as we explore the stories from thousands of years ago, from the earliest inhabitants of the area to the Indigenous presence today. Learn about the important Indigenous figures, cultures, and the community that continues to exist in Tkarón:to’s busy streets.
Virtual tours are held via Zoom, are led in real-time by a tour guide, and last approximately 90 minutes.
Registration is required. A Zoom link will be emailed to registrants prior to the online event.

About your tour leader: Mnawaate Gordon-Corbiere is Ojibwe and Cree and a member of M’Chigeeng First Nation. Born in Toronto and raised in M’Chigeeng, in 2019 she obtained her BA in History and English from the University of Toronto. Since graduation, she has been working in the heritage sector with a focus on Indigenous history. Her most recent project was working as a co-editor for the historical anthology “Indigenous Toronto: Stories that Carry This Place” released in spring 2021.
