Join Heritage Toronto for a talk on the history and residents of the Annex’s most famous street by celebrated Canadian writer Katherine Govier.

“Everyone lives on Brunswick Avenue sooner or later.”  So said author Katherine Govier in her story collection about the aspiring artists, writers, architects, musicians and filmmakers who took up temporary residence on the most famous street in the Annex.  From the late sixties to the eighties this was a street of transformation as newcomers to Toronto from all over the globe and the rest of Canada set out to make a new city out of the old ’Toronto the Good’. What became of them and what story do their lives tell about who we are?

The talk is offered in conjunction with the “Writing Change in the Annex” walking tour at 11am on Saturday, September 16.
