Join us for a virtual stroll in Chinatown up Spadina Avenue and beyond. Food memories are so intricately linked with successive waves of Chinese immigration and rapid changes in Chinatown. The ever-evolving restaurant scene with its diverse regional Chinese cuisines are attracting the next generation of food lovers.

Virtual Tour Information

Virtual tours are held via Zoom, are led in real-time by a tour guide, and last approximately 90 minutes.

Registration is required. A Zoom link will be emailed to registrants prior to the online event.

About your tour guide: Born in Macau and raised in Hong Kong, Leo Chan came to Canada in 1966. Professor Chef Leo Chan was educated at York, Ryerson and Cornell Universities. He taught Asian Cuisine at George Brown and Humber Colleges, and also held senior management positions in hotel and restaurant chains in Canada and the United States. He is Chairman of the Chin Wing Chun Tong of Ontario (Chan Family Association), a member of the 8 Precious Pearls Research Group of Chinese food history in Toronto, and Co-Founder of the Cambridge Food and Wine Society of Canada.
