Explore the Annex through the work of women writers who called the neighbourhood home. From Carol Shields to Gwendolyn MacEwen to Kim Moritsugu, these authors spun stories that inspire self-reflection and community action, tackling issues ranging from domestic violence and sexual abuse, to mental health, to poverty.
This Heritage Toronto tour runs rain or shine and lasts approximately 90 minutes. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and consider bringing sunscreen and water to make your tour as enjoyable as possible.
This tour uses individual audio headsets. All registered participants will be provided with an individual headset that will allow you to hear the live tour guide throughout the tour.

This tour is provided for $8.00/person. The total cost is $9.85 (includes a $1.85 transaction fee). Please note that space is limited on our tours. You may not be able to join a tour group if you have not registered ahead of time through our website (see below).

Please note that this walk is approximately 2.6 kilometres, mostly on city sidewalks. There are slight grade changes, as well as limited benches or other opportunities to sit on the route. Tour participants should expect to stand for the duration of the tour.

Look for the volunteers in white shirts and our Heritage Toronto white flag.
For over 25 years we have been touring through the city with groups, learning some fun facts, little-known stories, and about the amazing people that have contributed to Toronto's heritage.
